Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to all contracts between PrivacyMask and customers for the use of the PII masking API service.

2. Service Description

PrivacyMask provides a stateless API that:

• Automatically detects and masks personally identifiable information (PII) (/mask)
• Unmasks masked texts (/unmask)
• Returns the mapping to the client - no server-side storage

3. Stateless Design

PrivacyMask stores no mappings, no requests, and no logs of PII data. The token mapping is returned to you with each /mask call. You are responsible for securely storing the mapping.

4. Availability

We aim for 99.9% availability. Maintenance work will be announced in advance.

5. Liability

PrivacyMask is not liable for:

• Undetected PII (we recommend additional checks for critical data)
• Loss of mappings on the client side
• Indirect damages or lost profits

6. Prices and Payment

Current prices are available on our website. Payments are made monthly in advance.

7. Cancellation

Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time at the end of the month.

8. Applicable Law

German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Munich.
